Gettin' OUT!

I'm finally getting outta here for a day. :) Ever since I got back from the last retreat I have been extremely busy... dealing with personal issues and have been down with a bad back from the past week and half. I'm sucking it up and escaping this place I call home/work tomorrow and I'm going to STAMP!!!! I haven't stamped since the beginning of the month and I'm about to go insane. I still have all my stuff packed from the last "escape" so I can load it in the car and go tomorrow. I'm excited for this. My friend Tammy is coming down and she'll be there with me. We never have a bad time together. She's a fun person and a great friend. My mom is hosting the "crop" it's supposed to be her "open house" for becoming a consultant with Close To My Heart... Yeah?? what's that about?? Her DAUGHTER (me) owns a stamp company and she signs up to be a consultant with CTMH? Oh well. She never has really been into my stamps or business so I guess it shouldn't be a suprise, aye?

well... this is turning into a whine session and that's not what I wanted.. I'll stop now and go organize my stuff for tomorrow and try to take out the things I won't need... Well ok, I need it ALL but in reality, in 6 hours how much can I use? hehe..

My attempt at Scrapping..

Ok, so you have probably guessed by now, I'm NOT a scrapper at all! Well... today, QKD and the Royal Court are being featured at Split Coast Stampers. Come by and check it out.

Here's my page I did for the feature. It's of me and my dad. :) I have very few pics of me and none that are less than 8 years old... So, here's a pic that's about.... oh, 25 years old. :) They were taken on my dad's 21st birthday. :) And yes, he is giving his little girl Wine in the little pic. :)

Home Again...

I got home Saturday and was so tired, I slept until 12:00 today! I can't believe it. I had fun the first 2 days but come the 3rd, I was ready to GO HOME!!! But I stuck it out and stayed the whole time. I made load of cards! I can't believe how many I got done! I worked with the April kit packet for Queen Kat Designs and then I moved on to the April and May releases for QKD. check out some of my favorites from the weekend.. Packin Up...

I can't believe it!!!! Only 1 more day until I leave on retreat!! I soooooo can't wait. I've almost finished up sending out all the March kits and making all the stamps that are due before I leave... It's been a busy busy couple of weeks. This weekend was so insane! DH went to Cali and I worked non stop for 48 hours minus 3 hours to sleep on Saturday. Today I actually took the time to pack up some goodies to take on retreat with me.. Now mind you, this is only the 3rd time I've gone somewhere to scrap that wasn't already fully loaded with goodies before I got there (aka grannie's house)...

So, I'm still an amature when it comes to packing and knowing what I'll need... Since I am the kind of person who "grab-n-creates" I can't just plan something to do.... So I packed load of things! See for your self...

This is my XL Roller Tote.. It's over flowing with stuff!! I had to take a couple "layers" out of it because I couldn't LIFT it! YIKES! So... I took some out.. and put it in here... This pic to the right is a trunk that I bought a couple years ago. It was made by Chatterbox.. I got it and 2 smaller sizes for a great 80% off deal after attending the Sacramento stamp show in 2006. It's leather and has straps and everything just like a real trunk. Of course it doesn't hold much.. but it'll do for my big kick and all my extras I HAVE to have. :) So next, I packed my table top AMM tote...

It's got all the essentials... Well ok, SOME of them like scissors, scallop scissors, punches, pop dots, piercers, files... knives... things like that in it. I had a helper while I was packing.. Her name is Bubblez. She's the littlest full grown cat I know. :)

So.. I can't go without paper.. you know??? Here's part of the paper I intend to bring.. Now one small problem.. It won't FIT in my roller totes and I don't know where my paper keeper is!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who packs everything for a 3 day retreat? Please tell me I haven't gone off the deep end yet. :)
