Ok so.. I was heading out to get some of this AWESOME Fajita meat from a local Mexican market... When grannie turns to me and says.. "Isn't there a walmart over here?" and I'm like.. yeah.. and... you want to go? She's like sure.. Why not.. And I'm like well it's not in the nicest of places to be.. So we ended up going anyways lol. At first I was looking for another hoodie to snuggle up to the computer in and work.. But they didn't have one for me. :( Stupid store! BUT... I did find these totally rad shiny plether boots!! O.M.G. they are friggin awesome!!!

Grannie thought I was absolutly insane for trying them on and I threw them in the cart so fast I think her head is still spinning! haha. They are HOT pink and oh so awesome!! She asked where I was going to wear them.. I said "everywhere" she looked at me like I'm crazy. but guess what?? I'm wearing them right now!!! lol. Here's my new friends..

Aren't they the bees knees? lol I just HAD to share..

I want them in red!! So if you find them in RED size 10 let me know!! :)

Royal Monday...

Hi! I hope your weekend was a good one. I've been so busy getting some new things in place for the Royal Court... We are now hosting 2 blog hops a week. We will have 1 on Monday and 1 on Wednesday. Each one will feature about 1/2 of the court each day.

Welcome to the first edition of the Royal Monday blog hop. I'm happy to share my Monday with you. today's challenge was to use this photo as inspiration for a card:
So... For my card, I used a Tim Holtz mask with some Distress inks in: Broken China, Tattered Rose and Scattered Straw (I think that's the one I used. lol) then I removed the mask and stamped over it with the Script background, butterfly writings background and the harliquin background stamps from QKD. I added some velvet ribbon, flowers and matted it with brown cardstock and came up with this:
I am having so much fun still with my Distress inks. I hope you'll try them too! Have you seen the Get Inked! kits from QKD? They are fantastic and an excellent way to grow your QKD stamp collection as well as ink collection. The next two months will be awesome as always with Irene, but the new year... Oh man, I can't wait! Roni Johnson, will be taking over the reins. I can't tell you how fabulous the stamps are for the year. Did you know, Roni just wrote a book? That's right!! It's called "Teach Yourself Visually - Collage & Altered Art" It's a highly recommended book for a great read if you like techniques.
Now on to Kelly's blog for some more blogging fun! Don't forget we have the Regular Royal Kat Wednesday blog hop on Wednesday.

All caged up

Hi again! wow 3 days in a row. That's got to be a record right?? hehe. Today I'm showcasing a tag that I made last weekend. I used the Nov. Royal Kit that hit the QKD store yesterday. You have to pick one up. They are fantastic and for that matter, subscribe and don't miss a beat with the kits they keep getting better and better. For this tag, I used a premade- store bought ivory colored tag (have had it forever) I inked the edges with my inkessentials foam applicator (I'm in love with it!) and some Honey CTMH ink. Then I tore a piece of patterned paper and applied it to the tag & trimmed off the egdes. Next I stamped the birdcage in Wild Plum Adirondak Ink on some white cardstock and stamped the flowers over the cage in Honey ink and swiped the edges with the same ink.

I stitched 6 X's with some waxy flax I've had forever... Matted the cage and applied with pop dots to the tag. Added some ribbon and funky fiber and viola! I was done. I think it took me a whole 10 minutes to make and it's so pretty.

I hope you've enjoyed. Take a break and shop with QKD for some fun and funky stamps. :)

Have a great day and visit soon!

Indian Summer Card

Hi again. OMG I'm blogging and it's NOT a hop! lol. I hope you all enjoyed the QKD blog hop yesterday the girls did a great job, didn't they?

I've got a fun card to share with you today. It's done up using things from the November Royal Kit at QKD. I just love this kit. I made like 6 cards and 2 tags and I still haven't made a dent in it! The supplies and paper in this kit are unreal.

Here's my card for the day.
I love the foiled papers in the collection I wish I had a never ending supply. :) I inked the chipboard oval with Prussian blue chalk ink and then stamped it with cosmic copper brilliance with the flowers in the kit. I also did the photo corners the same way. They just sparkle.

Here's a peek at what I'll blog about tomorrow. So make sure you stop by!
Until then... Meow!

Royal Kat Wednesday Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Hump Day! It's another blog hop for me today. If you've come over from Penny's blog you're on the right path. If not, please feel free to visit the QKD blog for the beginning.

Today we were challenged with one of my sketches to create a card. I had fun with this one. I was making samples for the store with my November kit from Queen Kat Designs so I snuck this card in there! I used all supplies from the kit and added some glitter too.
For the November kit we chose some fancy blinged up pattern paper from K & Co. It's foiled and glittered and oh so scrumptious. The kit will hit the store on 10/15/09 be sure to pick yours up. We will have 2 different versions of the kit (2 different paper selections) So be sure to shop early and grab some 55% off clearance and 27% off stamps while you're there. Happy hopping. Off to Maria's blog I'm sending you..
