Here I am...

Here I am & there you are, but in my heart we are not that far. That's the quote on this card I have to share with you today. Take a peek...I used the July Royal kit from QKD for this card. It's the Mimosa line of patterned papers from SEI. The paper is GORGEOUS!!!! If you haven't seen it, GET THE KIT!!! if you've seen it... GET THE KIT!! The papers are all different. Some are pearlized, some are glittered and some are foiled. OMG it's the prettiest paper I've seen in a very long time!!! Grab a kit or two and you can make this card.

Here's a card I made last weekend while camping.. That's right!! I take stamp stuff with me when I camp! I got 18 cards made.. What did YOU do last weekend?? :)
Maria sets our themes each week and this week was vintage... I chose this Basic Grey paper. It's got vintage looking flowers on it. I used 3 stamp sets to create this 1 4"X4" card! I used the Give me coffee set, Coffee Beans and the Coffee Stain stamp.

Recently I was at a craft store.. I can't for the life of me remember which one but.. I found this velvet ribbon that's scrunched and folded and looks soooo vintagey to me. It's a fun addition to this card. I hope you like it.

Take a Sip...

I have a fun card for you today. It took me a while to figure out how to make the card base but I got it. I wish I'd made a template to share with you but I was so excited I got it that I put it together and I don't even have a template to make it over if I wanted. lol

I used some patterned paper from Me & My Big Ideas with some cardstock out of my stash. I stamped the drink from the Beach Essentials stamp set from QKD onto textured cardstock and colored with prisma pencils and gamsol (yes I love to do that, lol).So, how'd I do? It's my first envelope card. :) and I didn't even use an envelope for the base! :)

About the kit... We're featuring the Mimosa papers from SEI this month. Some of them are foil, some are glittered and some are pearled. This month we've added some embossed velvet papers for great backgrounds. We've combined both patterned paper and patterned cardstock for this kit. It's a very lush and tropical theme. This week we are celebrating everything summer! I wanted to make a really happy summery card. I used the new Star mermaid from the Whimsical Ink Sorority for this card. She's HOT!!! You have to pick this stamp up. She's part of the masquerade series that we've started.

I painted her with my new professional watercolor paints and highlighted parts of her with my white souffle' pen. She's a fun girl to use for lots of things. I can in vision birthday cards, thank you cards, invites and more with her. Try Star out for yourself!
