Hey all. Welcome to another edition of Royal Kat Wednesday. I want to start off by thanking Maria for planning all of these blog hops we do each week. She does a fantastic job! So, thank you!!!
If you've come from Tina's Blog, you're on the right track, if not please zoom back to the QKD blog and start the hop over. There's lots to see.
Today I came up with a wide but short card. It fits into a business size envelope. Very fun. I love making things that are different sizes. :) In fact the card you'll see at the Whimsical Ink sorority today is a different size too.
I used the newish stamp set called Seals from QKD for this card. I hadn't used my set yet and have been itching to break it out. I random stamped the "teal" color with the separate "flowers" in the set and stamped the seals on white and matted with velvet cardstock. It's a fun card. I can't wait to mail it off. :)
Thanks for coming today. Now it's on to Maria's blog. Have a great day!

It's a Royal Day...
It's Royal Kat Wednesday.. If you've come from Tina's blog you're hoppin along on the right track. If not, please jump back to the QKD blog and start over. There's lots you've missed.
Today Maria challenged us with Pink and Teal. So here's my best attempt...
I used the new Sea Shell from our Fantasy line along with a saying from the Live, Dream, Believe stamp set. I second generation stamped the faint hibiscus flowers over the saying just to tone down the stark white of that cardstock. For the shell, I stamped it twice and colored one of them, cut it out and pop dotted it to the card.. Then I colored 2 flowers on the other shell, cut them out and pop dotted them to the top of the other shell. :) Clear as mud right? it's fun to highlight just pieces of a stamped image like that. You should try it! :)
Off to Maria's blog you go... Have a great day! Thanks for hopping with us.
If you get lost along the trail, just stop back here and get back on track.

Look what I made!
Hi everyone. Just a quicky before I head off to the pillow for the night. :) The Findings Kit was jut released over at Queen Kat Designs. I want to show you all what I made with the kit. There's lots and lots more that I've done with this one kit. so make sure you click the link at the bottom of this post to go see it all.
This is a covered journal that I made. I'm saving it for a special Christmas gift. :) I can't tell you all the steps I took to make this puppy. It's got at least 5 different distress inks, Extra thick embossing powder, mod podge, hot glue, monopoly houses, dictionary pages, pin wheels, Monopoly board pieces, puzzle pieces and more on it! This thing is HEAVY!! It's a great paper weight. :)Life's a game play it! Ain't that the truth?? If you don't play it, it'll play you! I love this card. The purple is so vibrant. I had some old note cards I'd purchased from Staples at 0.25 a box for like 15 cards back in like 2003. LOL. They have the pretty embossed rectangles that you see on here.. I need to figure out how to do that because once I run out of the 4 boxes I bought for $1.00 I'm sure to want more! :)Oh boy, what didn't I use on this card? lol it's full of fun vintage finds from the kit. I had a blast making this card. I used a sketch from the QKD gallery to complete it if only I could remember which one. :) (hey, it's 1am I'm entitled to a bit of memory lapse.)
So.. can you guess what this card is hinting for you to do? LOL! I totally did NOT plan this at all. Read the 3 highlighted areas that are matted with blue. The first person to tell me what it means (correctly) gets the card. :)
Thanks for coming. I hope you'll get a Findings kit of your own. Click here to see the rest of what I came up with.

Royal Wednesday!
Welcome to this weeks edition of Royal Kat Wednesday. I'm happy you came. If you're here from Tina's Blog you're on the right track. :) If you're here out of the kindness of your heart, thanks! But you're missing some fun! Track back to the QKD blog and start the hop over again. There's lots of fun in store for you.
Today I'm sharing a card I made using the new Vintage Time background stamp with the new Random Text Background stamp.
I used some patterned paper that I bought off of a friend on Etsy. I have no idea who's it is! It's gorgeous!! The green with the vines is flocked. How fun is that? The only cardstock I used on this is the brown for matting. I stamped on some of the patterned paper even. It gives a more 3-d look. Check out the new stamps that we added last week. There's lots to choose from and they are all 20% off right now!
Have an awesome week.. .Surf over to Maria's blog now for some more exciting art.
PS.. QKD has 2 open Royal Court calls right now! Come and check them out. See the links to the right at the top of this blog. :)

Help for Anam
Hello everyone.
I just learned that one of my friends needs a bit of help. She's trying to gain full time citizenship in Canada from the UK. She needs to raise $4,000 by September something.. It's not like me to ask for help like this.. and I KNOW it's unlike Anam to reach out like this. She and her hubby and two gorgeous daughters love living in Canada and would like to stay there. If you'd like to read her story of how this came about, please click here.
How I know her? Well, Anam came to me over a year or so ago and offered up some designs for journaling blocks for Queen Kat Designs stamps. I jumped and said heck yah! We've been friends ever since. She's a nice person who really deserves the world. She helps everyone out when she's needed and doesn't ask for anything in return.
She emailed me tonight and asked for some items to be donated to her etsy store so she could try to sell them to earn the money for her residency. I've wrote her back and pledged as much as I could between my two businesses and my personal crafty world.
If you have some awesome stuff that you'd like to donate to her for her cause, please email me and I'll set you up with Anam. info @ katstamps. com
Please help her out! She is a really awesome person!!
Thanks for reading and listening.

Release Blog Hop! Yay!
It's that time again! I'm so stoked for this month's releases. I can't tell you how much time the designers and I have put into these stamps.. And the Royal Court.. OMG they are killing it! I'm so happy that they are on this wild journey with me!
Today is the release day blog hop for QKD, but you may already know that if you've come from Ms. Tina's blog. If you didn't know it was release day, please hop back to the QKD blog to start over. There's lots and lots of new stamps/sets for you to see!
Today I have a few cards to show you. I've been working with my Tim Holtz "education" via his online videos again. lol I'm gettin pretty good at makin a mess and "wearing" my distress ink dyed hands all over town. haha. It's all in fun isn't it?
Ok.. The first 2 cards I have for you I used his new mini masks....For the card above, I used the new Fish Net Background stamp. Other products: Distress ink: Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Crown Mini Mask and a flourish from a set of mini masks he just came out with. I embellished with some flowers and a brad. I had soooo much fun making this card! I used the new compass mini mask from Tim Holtz along with 4 different distress inks: Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Walnut Stain and Spiced Marmalade. The stamp that I used is the new Random Text Background stamp from Queen Kat Designs.
This tag is for a special someone in my life :) hmm... wonder what "D" could stand for? lol. For this I used both the Fish Net and Random Text Background stamps with the Crown from the Doodle n Crown Stamp set from QKD. The "D" is some black board from Cosmo Cricket and it's painted with some Walut Stain Crackle paint by Tim Holtz.
Meet Dotty the Bird. She's from the May Royal Kit at QKD. We decided that the Rocker Bird needed a sister so we brought Dotty back home.
Thank you for visiting us! There's more to see. Visit Maria next on our blog hop.
